I must admit, when you pay this much for a dining set you are a little worried about what you may find when you open that box-- but I am very happy with my purchase! The materials were good quality with no scratches or defects and the item is exactly what you would expect from looking at the photo. The set took about 1.5 hours to construct but it was not difficult. The instructions for the chairs were a little off, but it was not hard to figure out on your own. The chairs are not the most comfortable, but certainly not uncomfortable to have a meal in. It's perfect for a breakfast nook or a small apartment.
